Technical Information

The Plasticizers is a clear, colorless liquids, which are produced by the reaction of alcohols with phthalic anhydride and the elimination of water.

They are added to plastic, polyvinyl chloride(PVC), in order to produce more flexible products. They are not just addivites like pigments or filler, but they are important substance to determine the physical properties of polymer products.

There are different types of plasticizers like, adipates, benzoates, epoxy esters, maleates, oleates, phosphates. But phthalates, because of their cost advantage and technical performance, are the most widely used plasticizers. The most commons are:di 2-ethyl hexyl phthalate (DEHP, DOP), di isodecyl phthalate (DIDP) and di isononyl phthalate (DINP).

Phthalate plasticizers are used, either PVC or non-PVC applications. In PVC applications, it is used to produce; electrical cable insulation, flooring, footwear, toys, artificial leather. In non-PVC applications, it is used to produce; paints, rubber products, and adhesives.

During the process of plastification, which means use of plasticizer in the resin, the volatility, the density and the viscosity play very important role. Therefore our company give you a total quarantee for the compatibility of the plasticizer with the resin.
